Paul Cutlan's String Project launch their keenly anticipated second album Living., out on Earshift Music. The program traces a narrative which traverses human life's myriad experiences, in compositions by Cutlan, Daley, Jann Rutherford, Coltrane and a world premier by Jenna Cave'. Reviewing the group's first concert in 2012, Paul Nolan wrote “Paul Cutlan's very contemporary compositions and creative concepts brought broad minded hope for the future of Australian music - scored or otherwise.”      artsHub

Reviewing Across the Top, John Shand wrote “Throughout the album the composing and improvising are of equal merit - some achievement for such an ambitious, genre-defying project.”    SMH
Cutlan's compositional vision seems to me to be very personal and unique.
This music is lustrous: the more one listens to it, the better it will get.

The instrumental range and technical innovations they work through are breathtaking in themselves. Paul Cutlan has produced a work that is entirely of its own world…
